Introduction

Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) is a scalable and fully managed cloud storage service designed for big data and analytics workloads. One of the core components of ADLS is the Blob container, which serves as a logical unit for organizing and storing data. In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of creating a Blob container in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you should:

  • Have an active Azure account (sign up for free if you don’t have one).
  • Access to the Azure Portal (https://portal.azure.com).
  • Created a Resource group.
  • Created Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).

Step 1: Open Azure Portal

Navigate to the Azure Portal using your web browser and sign in with your Azure credentials (username and password).

Step 2: Open ADLS

Open an Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). In our case we open the ADLS named dlnerdsadls.

Step 3: Create Blob Container

In the left-hand menu of the storage account, scroll down to the Data Storage section. Click on Containers.
