Introduction

In order to work with data in Microsoft Fabric, you first need to get data into it. There are several ways to do this. One way is to manually upload files or folders from your local drive into a Fabric lakehouse. In this tutorial, we will explain step-by-step how to upload files into a Fabric lakehouse.

Step 1: Open Data Engineering Experience

We have already signed in to Fabric and opened the Data Engineering Experience. We have selected the workspace "dlnerds_workspace".

Step 2: Open Lakehouse Explorer

We select the lakehouse and switch to the Lakehouse Explorer.

Step 3: Upload File from Local Drive

Now, let's upload a file from a local drive. Files can be easily uploaded in the Lakehouse Explorer.
